I took my first MTL Weekend in 1997, when I was at a crossroads in my life. The tools I learned helped me to make creative choices to change things in my life so I could become happier and more peaceful. I continued to stay active and involved. Life is a roller coaster, and I wanted to ride the ups and downs with more grace and ease. When I practice the tools and get support, life is much easier and more fun!
One of my children has mental illness. That has been a big challenge for me and my family. My husband, my children, and I have all taken the MTL Weekend, served on teams, and attended advanced courses. Together, we use the tools that we have learned to create a loving family that gives back to our community. Even our former spouses have taken MTL, which allows us to interact lovingly and with respect for each other. We make creative choices that support our families. We support each other to tell the truth and choose to live with love and caring for others as our way of being.
I want to be a part of an organisation that changes people’s lives and offers real possibilities for growing at any stage of life. I continue to take advantage of the opportunities within MTL to grow personally and as a leader. I know this program makes a huge difference in the lives of many people around the world.
